Vilayath Budha Release Date Confirmed – Sept 25, 2025
The much-anticipated Malayalam action thriller Vilayath Budha, directed by Jayan Nambiar in his debut, stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as ‘Double Mohanan,’ caught in a high-stakes conflict over a prized sandalwood tree. The official teaser is out, and fans can now watch it online, showcasing Prithviraj’s intense transformation and his memorable line, “I am local, not international like him”. Based on G. R. Indugopan’s novel, the screenplay is by Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan. Produced by Sandip Senan under Urvasi Theatres with A. V. Anoop, it features Shammi Thilakan, Priyamvada Krishnan, Anu Mohan, Rajashree, and Teejay Arunasalam ).
Cinematography by Arvind S. Kashyap (Kantara), music by Jakes Bejoy, and editing by Sreejith Sarang bring the story to life, with Marayoor’s sandalwood forests adding authenticity.
